João Santiago (born 1995, in Portugal) is a performer, dancer, maker and teacher based in Munich and Porto. He has always admired and been fascinated by the behavior of the body and mind in all the different atmospheres and situations. Starting his dance studies in Portugal in the Conservatório de Música da Jobra, he successfully completed his dance education at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts (NL) with the bachelor dancer/maker in 2017. Around Europe, João has been teaching, dancing and performing his own work and collaborated with different companies and artists (dance, circus, street performance, video) such as Victor Hugo Pontes (Nome Próprio), Joana Gama, Radar 360 Associação Cultural, Romulus Neagu, Noura Rezgui, Alondra Castellanos Arreola, Nicole Beutler, Maged Mohamed, Pedro Dias, Liliana Garcia, Laura Saumweber (contwee dance collective) and others. At the same time, he has been researching and initiating
his own practice of movement.
